Sustainable Event Manager
The Sustainable Event Manager is responsible for overseeing and working a calendar of events in New Zealand and assisting with the Australian business over New Years Eve. The main focus of the role is to deliver sustainable events and festivals, divert waste from landfill and increase recycling rates while keeping each event site clean and tidy.
Tasks include client and contractor management, supervision, induction and training of staff, overseeing projects from inception to conclusion, working onsite, set up and pack down of equipment, problem solving, cleaning and general labour.
The role requires you to work autonomously and remotely at times while under the guidance of the National Manager. You will require a full drivers licence, current passport and willingness to travel, work weekends and public holidays.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience in the events industry in a sustainability capacity. The position includes full training, mentorship and the chance to upskill.
Closed Loop has offices in the UK, Australia and New Zealand and there are plenty of opportunities for the right person.
No events experience is specifically required but will be viewed favourably. A willingness to learn, a hard work ethic and good attitude are essential.
The position requires you to work from home, on the road and at events.

The right candidate must be able to commence employment by the start of November 2019. Willing and able to travel for work across NZ and Australia. Work New Years and event hours. Full drivers licence and up to date passport required.
