Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race

 

 

The Boat Race is an annual contest between the Men’s and Women’s Blue Boats of Oxford University and Cambridge University. Running since 1829, it is an event steeped in history and tradition, with a high degree of public recognition in the UK and worldwide and over 250,000 attendees.

 

The Boat Race Company is responsible for the planning and delivery of the Boat Race. Professional Sports Group are a sports marketing agency and partners of the Boat Race Company, responsible for sponsorship, marketing, PR and community event management of the event.

 

Muon Events (now Legacy) was appointed by the Professional Sports Group to review the sustainability performance of the 2018 Boat Race and provide recommendations on how to improve performance for the 2019 event.
