2020 - 2021
Legacy are the event organisers for Clean Growth UK, a thriving network of over 1,600 green focused businesses across the UK. Members can access a menu of business support, innovation and R&D support, access to funding, events, collaboration and skills development. The network is university-led and funded by the UKRI.
Like most organisations, we have transferred Clean Growth UK’s events online in response to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. The Clean Growth UK team had never run virtual events before now.
Our first event was a virtual conference for around 70 attendees, exploring the future of the transport sector, featuring perspectives from industry leaders such as Tesla, Virgin Hyperloop One and the Sustainable Shipping Initiative. This event was part of a wider ‘Future of’ national event programme, designed for businesses to help drive the green economy.
This virtual event included keynote talks and breakout sessions about the innovative solutions on offer, and what a low carbon future may look like. It also included 1-2-1 and group networking opportunities available for all attendees, along with access to the curated exhibition where companies could showcase their services through virtual exhibition booths.
The second event was a virtual conference for 150 attendees on the Future of Energy. This event brought together a suite of industry leaders to share their insights into the future of energy, in a series of five parallel conversations. These covered the following topics and speakers were from brands including Microsoft, Good Energy and Ripple Energy.
The event included 1-2-1 and group networking opportunities available for all attendees, along with access to the curated exhibition where companies could showcase their services through virtual exhibition booths.
