


Oxfordshire County Council appointed Legacy to deliver a one-day Green Finance conference, focused on securing £3.5 billion investment needed for the region’s transition to net-zero carbon emissions.The conference aimed to gather leading thinkers and practitioners in green finance to tackle key questions about unlocking investment, ensuring project viability, and promoting inclusive opportunities while reducing inequality. Legacy’s scope included logistical coordination, speaker management, website development, branding and design, communication, and delegate registration.
The conference brought together key leaders within the Green Finance sector to develop a clear action plan for Oxfordshire’s journey to Net Zero. Key objectives included:
Legacy managed all aspects of this one-day conference at Oxford Brookes University, exceeding attendance targets with 132 delegates on the day. The event featured a mix of presentations, discussions, and networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration and innovative thinking.
110 out of 132 attendees used sustainable transport, while the plant-based menu saved approximately 6,336Kg/CO2 compared to a meat-based alternative.
Implemented comprehensive waste reduction strategies including recyclable lanyards, digital signage, and elimination of single-use plastics. The venue’s geothermal heating system contributed to a 20% reduction in CO2 emissions.
